Applications are now open for the Center for African Studies Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program! This 18-month program is aimed at providing opportunities for postdoctoral candidates to conduct independent research, publish, and increase knowledge in their fields of study that will be beneficial to the African continent. Twelve months will be spent at the scholar’s home institution and six months spent in paid residency at Harvard.

We encourage you to share this announcement with your networks in Africa and consider serving as mentors for this fellowship.Over the 18-month program, we require fellows to have a Harvard faculty mentor. This is an opportunity to deepen collaborations with a research institutions in Africa and further capacity building opportunities to have a postdoc fellow collaborate with you in your work.

Fellows will have completed their respective doctoral programs at institutions from anywhere around the world and currently hold a paid academic appointment at their an Africa-based research institution.
