The African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC) will host its 12th International Conference on Cancer in Africa from 5 to 8 November 2019 in Maputo, Mozambique and will welcome members of the cancer community from around the globe.

The agenda will also include symposia led by experts and interactive workshops that will equip attendees with diverse tools that can be implemented in innovative and resourceful ways. Major areas of focus will include cancers of the cervix, breast, prostate, and oesophagus; haematological cancers; and hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, the conference will focus on the development of National Cancer Control Programmes and will address the issue of palliative care in Africa.
